Play Counter Strike 1.6 Online with Friends Without Steam!
Hello Guys!
If you are a Counter Strike player, you must be searching how to play with friends, multiplayer. WITHOUT STEAM
One of the methods is to go to Gametracker , and then copy and paste the ip into your console. For eg, the ip
is xxx.xx.xxxx.x . Then, you will have to :
- Open up Counter strike 1.6
- Go to console by pressing ` key. (Left to number one)
- Entering in the Console, “connect xxx.xx.xxxx.x” (without quotes)
- You will then connect to the server. (Note: This does not work on all servers)
As you’ve read, this method is not trust able, as it sometimes doesn’t work. So, what to do?What you need to do is first, Download Tunngle.
Register for an ID, then Login. 
This is what the login screen will look like.Then, search ‘Counter Strike’ in the search bar at top left.
Then, you will get two options (may be more in the coming times)One will be ‘Counter Strike 1.5’, other would be ‘Counter Strike 1.6’Double Click on Counter Strike 1.6, then wait till it logs in to the Network. Then , follow the steps according if you are HOSTING or JOINING
Hosting1. Open up the Game
- Press the ‘New Game’ Button.
- Choose appropriate settings, then click on ‘Create Server’
Joining1. Open up the Game.
- Click on ‘Find Servers’
- Go to ‘LAN’ Tab.
- There you will find the server if host has correctly hosted. If not, ask him to follow the instructions.
- Enter password (if was chosen by Host)
- Play!
